In late 2020 for Sacred Music, Jerome F Weber of Fanfare compiled a lifetime’s scholarship on the field to create a Top 10 list of Gregorian Chants. This week, we hear the last four, including a huge setting of the Popule meus.
NOTE: All of the music on these two programs was chosen by Fr. Jerome Weber early music critic of Fanfare magazine, and was adapted from the article of the same name first published in Sacred Music, Vol. 147, No. 3 (Fall 2020), pp. 21-31.
